Comments:
Adding a seaplane rating or getting Sea current should be a fun and relaxing treat for the pilot, and our goal is to help you achieve just that. WaterWings is located on historic Lake Martin, just northeast of Montgomery, AL. This beautiful, crystal clear lake provides a variety of seaplane learning opportunities, from wide-open spaces to more confined river and canyon experiences. 40,000 acres and 743 miles of shoreline offer abundant opportunity for outdoor recreation in a lush, natural setting. Several historic national parks are within comfortable driving distance, plus fishing, boating, camping and golf resort areas. Alexander City has an excellent selection of hotels and restaurants, some within a half mile of the airport (ALX), and several restaurants are located on the lakeside, convenient for arrival by boat or seaplane. The crew at ALX is very friendly, and Jet-A and Avgas are available at reasonable rates. Transportation can be arranged to and from the training site. Examiner available on site.
