Background:
A graduate of the Massachusetts Maritime Academy, David was a Captain on merchant ships including oil and chemical tankers and a self-unloader for 23 years. Upon retiring in 2002, he founded New England Harbor Services, providing barges to work on bridges along the Massachusetts coast. David and his wife Betty are both passionate aviators. When Betty obtained her seaplane rating, David followed suit, obtaining his seaplane rating in a 1946 Piper PA-12 in 1984. David and Betty have owned a 1955 Cessna 180, and currently own a 1957 Cessna 180 in a partnership. They regularly fly to Maine, and enjoy spending time with fellow seaplane pilots. David succeeded John Craig as the Northeast Field Director, then scaled down to New Hampshire and Vermont. Betty is a former Governor for the New England section of the 99's.
