Florida Seaplaners--Restaurant Recommendations

Okay, you Florida based folks.....I have friends wintering in the Kissimmee area, and they are looking for GOOD restaurants, known mostly to the locals. I recently directed them to the Cherry Pocket Resort, and that was a big hit. These folks are not seaplane equipped, by the way, so purely fly in restaurants aren't going to work.

Now, of course, the pressure is on, and they want MORE ideas on places in that neck of the woods to have a great dining experience.

Your thoughts?

Oh, yeah, and my wife is about to launch off in that direction, so she too hopes to find delightful dining experiences.

Ok, bad joke. The Columbia has large amounts of food. Mostly meats but the way they cook them is better than average. Service is a bit slow but not terrible. It is a chain but Bonefish makes decent seafood. Chef's Dockside in does seafood better than most.

Mike, Crabby Bills in St Cloud on south shore of Lake Toho is good. Manny's steak house in Lake Wales, Winterhaven and Haines City are good. Gary's oyster bar in Lake Alfred. The old Houstons on Lake Killarney in Orlando is good and a bit more $$. Live music tues-sun at the Cherry Pocket! Airplanes & Airboats!
